I don't know if I notice it more because I'm a vegan or if my viewing choices are including more informative programs.<BR/><BR/>There's a show called "How It's Made" on the Discovery Channel (USA) that shows how things are manufactured. On one episode they were at an egg hatchery where chicks are hatched then separated according to gender. Throughout the whole segment they showed the chicks being tossed down chutes and traveling on conveyor belts. Finally they are dropped into shallow containers (about 100 in each) where we are told they will be transferred to chicken farms.<BR/><BR/>If people can actually watch slaughterhouse footage and still eat meat, I'm not surprised that she could eat buffalo after seeing them in the fields. You just have to hope that one day soon these people will experience an event that triggers the association between the meat on their plate with the animals they admire.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
